Giving back has always been a core value of our firm - and it’s deeply personal.
Our Story
For more than 15 years, Mark Anselmo, Founder and President of Anselmo Investment Management, and his wife Kathy led a nonprofit created in honor of their son, Nicholas, who was diagnosed with autism. The Our Nicholas Foundation was dedicated to supporting the local autism community through advocacy, resources, and direct support for families navigating special needs.
During that time, Adam Skumawitz, Mark’s partner at Anselmo Investment Management, served as a key Board Member of the foundation. Together, they saw firsthand the power of community, compassion, and guidance—and also recognized a growing need to expand their reach.
Families and individuals were facing challenges that extended beyond autism alone—cancer diagnoses, food insecurity, housing instability, special needs, and financial uncertainty—often all at once.
Why AIM for Good Was Created
In 2022, AIM for Good was established to broaden that impact—while still honoring the foundation built through years of service to the autism community.
AIM for Good exists to support:
Individuals and families facing life-changing circumstances
Local nonprofits doing meaningful work on the ground
Those who need direction in their financial lives, even if they don’t yet have assets to invest
You don’t need to be a client.
You don’t need to have money.
You simply need a place to start.
